South Bay home care is non-medical help at home from a trained caregiver, so an aging parent can keep living where they're most comfortable. It's everyday things: a hand getting up in the morning, a warm shower without the fear of slipping, nutritious meals, medication reminders, and someone to talk to. It isn't home health care, which is medical and ordered by a doctor. We work alongside nurses and therapists when they're involved.
Good senior home care also looks after emotional well-being: a familiar face, a real conversation, a reason to get dressed in the morning. It's personalized care, built around your loved one's routine and preferences, not ours. It can start small and grow as needs change, and you're never locked into a long-term contract.

Meet in person or over Zoom
We'll come to the house for a free in-home assessment, or start over Zoom if family is spread out. We review safety, medications and the daily routine, then write a care plan you approve.

We introduce the caregiver before the first visit, schedule care around your family's life, and keep adjusting until it feels like family.
What it costs
How much does in-home care cost in the South Bay?
We don't publish rates, because every family's hours and needs are different. For context, CareScout's 2025 Cost of Care Survey puts the California median for a non-medical home care aide at about $40 an hour, and the state median for assisted living at roughly $7,000 a month. For many families, a few hours of help at home costs well below a move to a facility.

Home care is non-medical help with daily life: bathing, meals, companionship, supervision. Home health care is skilled medical care, like nursing or physical therapy, that a doctor orders. Many families use both, and we're happy to work alongside a home health nurse.
Do you offer live-in care?
Yes. We arrange live-in caregivers who stay in the home, as well as awake 24-hour shift care for clients who need someone up all night. We'll help you decide which is safer.
Can you help a parent with dementia or Alzheimer's?
Yes. Our memory care at home pairs your loved one with caregivers trained for dementia, who keep the day calm and familiar. Many older adults with memory loss do best in their own home with the right support.
How quickly can care start?
Usually within the week. After a hospital discharge, often the same day or the next.
Can we meet over Zoom first?
Of course. Many families start with a Zoom call, especially when siblings live in different cities. We'll still do the in-home assessment before care begins.
Do we have to sign a long-term contract?
No. You can add hours, cut back, or stop, and we'll adjust the care plan with you.
Does Medicare pay for home care?
Medicare doesn't cover ongoing non-medical home care. It can cover short-term home health visits a doctor orders. Most families pay privately, sometimes with help from long-term care insurance or VA benefits.
